I appreciate Sam Harris for his approach to this very sensitive subject. He doesn’t waiver from his perspectives and he speaks more out of concern for religious people and the state of our nation and even the world, rather than treating religious people as idiots.

It is not much different than the Christian Evangelist that wants to save you out of true care for you soul, as opposed to the bible slamming, hell and brimstone approach. I can at least say the former is truly a compassionate notion, be it pertinent to my “soul” or not.
